Frequently asked questions

You don’t need to know anything.  I discuss the basics of how pieces move and how to checkmate.  We then go into forks, skewers, and tactical motifs.

My goal is for anyone who is or isn’t currently playing to be able to learn a lot and start improving right away.  I guarantee that I’ll introduce an idea you might not have considered in your games throughout this course.

The course is $49.99 on udemy and has over 9 hours of videos, broken down in more than 9 categories.

I will continue to update and add more videos, in addition to creating more video courses.

This course teaches you new ways to think about your chess games.  I have created this course based on what I have learned to get to 1900 USCF from masters who are stronger than me.  When I applied these ideas, I improved drastically, and you can too.

Chess is a visual game and it’s best to learn by watching and practicing what you see.  This video course is designed to give you a 1:1 coach and take out all of the manual work of Googling “how to beat the London Defense.”

I’ve tried this and understand how little you learn from this approach.  Most videos out there start to explain some aspects, but you will quickly realize that the video cannot possibly explain every variation.

Instead, I teach how you approach the game and not the opening.  I don’t show specific opening lines and explain how you can win easily at all.

I will help give guidance to any student who enrolls.  This means helping to look at your games and offer suggestions.

I do not currently offer 1 on 1 training for a fee.  I’d prefer to help out any student when time allows if you’ve enrolled.
